Since 2002, Telluride Gay Ski Week has become the Southwest’s most welcoming, scenic, and intimate winter retreat.

The week-long celebration of equality, inclusivity and awareness features tons of activities to showcase the beauty of our LGBTQ+ community. The Telluride community is proud to fight for human rights to live openly and authentically. Our town embraces and welcomes visitors from all walks of life with our signature flair and mountain charm.

Not just for skiers, Telluride Gay Ski Week invites all to celebrate the magic of wintertime in the San Juan Mountains. With gorgeous accommodations located just steps away from activities like ice skating, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, shopping, spa treatments, yoga and so much more, Telluride has something for everyone.

Telluride, Colorado … it is a place of legend, nestled at the end of a canyon and surrounded by some of the most rugged peaks in the Rocky Mountains.

The natural beauty of Telluride is unmatched by anywhere in the country and perhaps the world. The town stretches eight blocks wide and twelve blocks long and boasts 300 days of sunshine each year. With colorful Victorian-era homes, clapboard storefronts, boutiques, art galleries, gourmet restaurants, historic buildings and more, Telluride is truly a delight to explore. The friendly locals are embraced for our authentic mountain character, unpretentious attitude, and celebration of adventure.

Deep powder. Endless runs. No lift lines. Blissful solitude. But it’s the views that will really take your breath away.

There is no place quite like Telluride. As you click in to skis or snowboard atop Revelation Bowl, stop to take in the moment. The valley floor lies nestled far below. Around you, the endless peaks of the San Juan Mountains encompass you in their jagged majesty. While under your feet, fresh powder awaits your first tracks down the flowing steeps and chutes of Gold Hill. For many, Telluride is a powder-seeker’s nirvana. And for good reason. Great snow conditions and crowd-free runs. Breathtaking scenery. Expansive side country and hike-to-terrain that provide an untracked in-bounds experience. 

Should you decide to take a break from carving turns, we also serve up everything from snowshoeing and nordic skiing to sleigh rides and fat tire bike tours.

With so much to do, you won’t want to go home when the week is over.

Attendees can enjoy daily ski groups for all skill levels, après-ski hangouts, pool parties, late-night happenings including the signature White Party and so much more.

Historically, Telluride Gay Ski Week has coincided with Telluride Aids Benefit Fashion Show Gala - an event dedicated to fighting HIV/AIDS by raising awareness and generating financial support for prevention programs and client care.
