Telluride Gay Ski Week - Bears In Space

Bears In Space

Two old queens with an undying love for music traveling through the galaxy. Transmitting cosmic soundscapes and beats both new and old for all willing ears. Picture drinks with Statler and Waldorf at Judy Garland’s summer house on Venus.

Bears in Space began as the creative brain child of Chris Bowen and Victor Rodriguez. With the blessing and backing of Beats in Space's own Tim Sweeney, it began as a monthly event at Akbar in Silver Lake in Los Angeles. The monthly event later turned into a seasonal 12 hour lot party in the back parking lot of the venue and features food trucks, vendors and a drag show at dusk and has hosted such names as DJ Harvey, Optimo, Discodromo, Massimo Pagliara, Lovefingers & Heidi Lawden to name a few.

The duo has gone on to be featured regularly at festivals such as Love International in Tisno, Somos in Puerto Vallarta, Desertopia and Camp Caftan.

Bears in Space radio airs every third Friday of the month from 10 pm until midnight.
